The wiper blades in earlier models were operated by a cog wheel driven by the squeezing screw. If the cog wheel was unclean, ingredients would build up causing breakage making the juicer inoperable till the wheel was replaced. The new system runs the wiper blades directly from the squeezing screw, eliminating the cog wheel. The silicone non-drip juice valve and cap eliminate drips onto the work surface thus letting the juice bowl to be filled with water to make the silicone wiper blades do the cleaning.

The twin-winged auger is made with Ultem, a high-quality and durable new material. It squeezes ingredients more thoroughly and slowly. The squeezing worm-screw that crushes the produce has been completely redesigned and it now reduces the amount of produce that gets trapped inside the auger so that maximum produce is pushed through the strainer, in turn minimizing build-up inside the juicer. The wiper blade system is driven by wing-tips added on top of the auger so there is no need for the ratchet system once present underneath the auger to power the blades, adding more strength to the GE Ultem auger.
Omega VRT380HDC Juicer
It has a heavy-duty juicing screen and single-style auger that engages a dual squeezing process to extract maximum juice during the process. The Ultem auger can crush and squeeze a range of produce.

Panasonic Slow Juicer
After you have squeezed the last pieces of ingredients, turn the Panasonic Slow Juicer on briefly to let the juicer completely squeeze the fruit and vegetables. The juicer is easy to clean without a dishwasher since fruits and vegetables are not greasy. You need to pay more attention to the juicing screen and it needs to be brushed for complete cleaning.
Khind Slow Juicer
The juicer comes with a cleaning brush and is basically easy to clean,
Hurom HH Elite
To self clean the juicer, set the lever to half-closed position and run water to flush out residual pulp. You can clean it thoroughly in the sink by moving the lever to ‘Clean’ position to open it up completely.
The cleaning brush can be used while disassembling and cleaning the menial parts for storage. The strainer can be cleaned inside and outside using the cleaning brush or dish sponge. Clean the juice and pulp outlet with the chamber cleaning brush. The chamber packing, juice cap packing and silicon brush can be separated to deep clean easily without disassembling. Parts can be sterilized by soaking in water diluted with a couple of drops of natural disinfectants or baking soda mixed for a couple of hours. Sterilizing in high temperature may lead to deformation or breakdown.
Just close the juice cap, pour water through the machine and run it. The remaining pulp and juice will be flushed out making for easy rinsing when making different juices. The included brush can remove fibres stuck in the mesh. Hurom HH Elitee has two cleaning brushes – one has a detachable smaller brush to reach inaccessible areas.
Omega VRT380HDC Juicer
The cleanup is easy in spite of the juice extractors not being dishwasher safe. It takes a minute to scrub the pulp off the mesh juicing screen, which is recommended as it will be difficult to remove once it hardens. The juicer parts can be washed by submerging in hot, soapy water after juicing. The cleaning brush can scrub the pulp off of the juicer parts. If the pulp dries on the screen it can be soaked in hot, soapy water for approximately ten minutes to soften the pulp and make cleaning easier. Continuously allowing pulp and juice to dry on the parts of the juicer builds sediment making it difficult to remove. The juicer can just be rinsed regularly. It should be cleaned after turning the machine off and with the brush. Metal sponge should not be used to prevent damage. It cannot be washed in and the base should not be washed under direct water. Dry towel or wet towel can be used to clean. Attachments should be dried after cleaning

Compare Reviews: Panasonic Slow Juice vs Khind Slow Juicer vs Hurom vs Omega
Panasonic Slow Juicer
One user who bought Panasonic Slow Juicer found it highly impressive at juicing and easy to clean. The frozen food attachment worked great with oranges and carrots. It generated more juice and less pulp and feels rich upon consumption. The only downside the user noticed was that for the Frozen Food Attachment, food items are to be thawed for 20 to 30 minutes approximately before using. Another user who reviewed Panasonic Slow Juicer reveals that it made very smooth juice which is otherwise difficult to make at home. The juicer functions as per its promises and does a great job at extracting juice from fruits and vegetables of both types.
One user of Panasonic Slow Juicer complains about the frozen treat part. The attachment clogs up easily and fails in creating frozen treats as expected. Even though the directions were followed perfectly, it didn’t work for several tries. One user says that although the process of assembling and disassembling is simple, it is time-consuming and unreasonable for people with time constraints and looking for a simple glass of juice. The Juicer needs disassembling and cleaning after every use because fibrous materials clog in the multiple components. The plastic brush with a rounded pick on the handle does its job well for getting deep into the gear mechanism of the press and cleans the discharge. Apart from the maintenance, the juicer is impressive in juicing and extracting nutrients.

Hurom HH Elite REVIEW
One user writes that the build of Hurom HH Elite is solid and the juicer functions more or less as promised. The juicer jamming up and need for reversal is an issue but this happens due to the fruits falling into the auger wrong way. Dropping them in the chute correctly and makes them go quickly to get fresh juice out easily. One user reveals that it’s a great juicer for people who want to incorporate frozen fruits in juices without using a bulky blender. The juice comes out consistently and if refrigerated, it lasts for three days. The juicer is durable and is easy to clean, whether the parts or the surface. It also makes great nut milk unlike other juicers. Another user found Hurom HH Elite great at extracting juice and states that it also works great for making juice out of green leafy vegetables.
Another user who bought Hurom HH Elite complains that there is a lot of grit in the juice even when used at the finest of setting. There should be very fine holes to avoid this. The self-cleaning mechanism hardly works and it takes about 15 minutes to clean the juicer. The parts are aplenty that fills the entire load in a dishwasher. The user also noticed vegetables such as carrots getting stuck in it. Another user also complains about its longevity. It broke down after 40 days as smoke came out from the hopper while preparing juice. And it wasn’t due to negligence in following the directions as it worked for the rest of the days well enough. The customer support did not respond at all and such similar response has been noticed by other users as well. On trying to use it again the wing of the auger snapped with a loud crack. It is a complete waste of money as per the user.
For another the auger broke off while juicing. The broken tip went down in the strainer and bent the mesh badly. It was used only about once a week for a year and still could not withstand regular juicing process. The concern is whether it’s covered in a warranty or not as the juicer comes for a very high price and without warranty and parts availability it can be pretty costly affair. The user has been very careful at following instructions for juicing, reassembling and even cleaning it. The customer care reverted that it was the user’s fault and said too much juicing caused it, although the user juiced only about 3 quarts that lasted for three days for two people once per week. The company didn’t stand by the warranty and the most difficult part is to get through to them via their automated answering system. It’s recommended to stay away from this juicer altogether due to its disappointing juicing ability and moreover the company’s unwillingness to stand by their warranty. Another user asserts that even though its claim of being a smoothie maker, it fails to perform the job well. If the ingredients are fed fast, it gets jammed up and needs some time to slow juice the food items which can be time consuming.
Omega VRT380HDC Juicer REVIEW
A user who reviewed Omega VRT380HDC Juicer reveals it is a fast and silent juicer that provides fresh juice from all types of food items by slow juicing them at 80 rpm. Its low heat performance ensures the juice is of high quality and preserves the essential vitamins, nutrients, and enzymes in the juice. Another user writes in his review that Omega VRT380HDC Juicer is quiet while juicing and its squeezing process is much better than a centrifugal-type machine that grinds food items at high speed. The juicer has a large feeding chute that saves time on slicing and prepping up. Also its automatic pulp ejection lets it juice continuously on its own. The automated wiping system keeps the juicing screen clean while in process, which is an impressive feature. One user also compliments the Omega VRT380HDC Juicer ULTEM juicing screen that withstands heavy duty juicing with ease. The built in handle helps in carrying it easily and is also a breeze while assembling, operating and cleaning. This is further verified by another user’s review of Omega VRT380HDC Juicer where the user suggests it’s a good purchase for its multiple features and price.
One reviewer of Omega VRT380HDC Juicer complains that it involves a lot of parts that need assembly and cleaning. The parts are made out of plastic and after reassembly the auger doesn’t seem to sit well. Even though it clicked in place there is unusual grinding noise while usage. The motor also smells hot while in use and the machine leaves a lot of pulp. The self-cleaning feature does not work really well. The manual is not easy to follow and there are certain important facts that randomly put throughout the book and are not easy to grab. The cleaning is the hassle though and takes a lot of time since all the 10 parts excluding the base are not dishwasher safe.
