The front and back cameras are decent and the microphone and sound output quality are of good quality. The screen resolution is good and the attached stylus works better than finger touch. LeapPad Glo has enough entertaining apps and learning games that can keep the children engaged for hours. It is a great device especially when children are to be engaged during long trips or meetings. It also features some familiar characters from some famous shows to excite the children furthermore.
LeapPad Glo Cons
The apps and cartridge games that come for LeapPad Glo are very costly when compared to an iPad or Android-based tablets. It only offers access to the library for 10 to 20 dollars but there are no preloaded books. The 4 AA batteries run out quickly and the user needs to spend on either newer batteries or costly rechargeables. The screen resolution is also not as sharp as the Ultra XDI and the graphics aren’t as modern as newer tablets.
LeapPad 2 Pros
It comes with a solid construction that can withstand the tantrum thrown by kids. It is safe and easy to manage with a simple interface for children to get used to. The tablet is affordable and features a lot of fun eBooks, games, and apps for hours of entertainment and learning. It keeps the kids from accessing things that they are not allowed. The physical control buttons are designed very well for use by kids.
LeapPad 2 Cons
The apps that come with LeapPad 2 are pretty expensive. Also, it seems that the tablet doesn’t have a long-term appeal and kids might get bored with it soon unless more apps and games are bought. There were no batteries provided with the unit and drains the batteries too quickly. The screen isn’t as durable as promised and looks like it is made of some hard plastic material that can crack easily. The software by Leapfrog is slow and freezes easily. The resolution also isn’t highly appealing as the other newer tablets.

The attached stylus helps in the navigation of large library of games and apps available for hours of entertainment. The tablet is pretty sturdy and has a recessed power button to disallow accidental presses.
LeapPad 3 Cons
A big drawback of LeapPad 3 is that it is not waterproof. Also, the quality of camera and pictures is pretty poor. The resolution of the screen is also not very engaging for children who are now accustomed to viewing things in HD. The software lags a lot and the processor is pretty slow while running few apps and games. The quality of stylus is poor as its tip can break easily due to use by children.

There are cartridges available to attach to the tablet or downloadable content that provides them an extra source of study. Above all, Ultra XDI features parental control that is necessary to monitor what the children are surfing, playing and check on their progress.
Ultra XDI Cons
It is not built for younger kids as the screen can break easily. There are very little apps offered right out of the box and everything else is to be downloaded that can be worked out to be very costly. The apps and cartridges also don’t come for cheap and each upgrade can cost a lot. The tablet doesn’t have good Wi-Fi connecting capabilities and the graphics aren’t as great as expected. Ultra XDI is also pretty heavy to hold for children and the video quality it offers isn’t anywhere similar to an actual tablet.
