Compare REVIEW: Chair Gym vs Total Gym

Chair Gym Review

Chair Gym’s claims that it is the best all-in-one home workout system are not completely true. One user Kirsten Mueller who used Chair Gym reveals that it is ineffective and is a complete waste of money. And the customer service also is poor and asked for additional charges for refund which was not mentioned anywhere on the website or in the purchase policy. Another user, Larry Paulson who also used Chair Gym says similar things about it. The user upgraded and paid extra for same day delivery. The customer service informed the user only after inquiring that the product was out of stock and did not provide a refund for the premium service, which was paid beforehand.

One user, Denis Celona, who purchased Chair Gym complains that the chair is very difficult to assemble and the equipment keeps squeaking all the time. After using it for a couple of times the cords became loose and started to rattle. After few weeks the nylon straps came off the foam grip handles. Also the cord and metal pulley is aligned such a way that it ends up bruising the user’s leg. Customer service was again at fault for not being accessible and later sending the wrong replacement grip. Another user, Dough Hamill who used Chair Gym also complains about its substandard cables that broke after a month’s usage and even deems it to be unsafe.

Joel Burke, another user who tried Chair Gym says the chair is fragile and is of no use. And upon getting the refund the user realized that the upgrade fees were not refunded back without any justification or any policy. Anyone who is more than 145 lbs. cannot use this chair due to its flimsy build. And also it is difficult for elderlies to use it. For those depending on the DVD that comes along, it has less than 10 minutes of exercises on it and the rest of them are on a sheet of paper with small photos that are difficult to follow and read. It is not really a gym replacement chair which can help perform some serious exercises.

Total Gym 1400 REVIEW

One user Robert Anderson who used Total Gym 1400 says that one has to be very careful while using it as it can end up having getting hair and fingers caught. It provides a very good workout if used by people with well-balanced posture but can be difficult for the ones out of shape. Another user Roger Toomey who bought Total Gym 1400 also warns that care should be taken while handling it. It is a heavy-duty equipment, which is why handling it while opening and closing is a little difficult and end up having fingers caught if not careful. Roy Daines, a user who used Total Gym 1400 reveals that it is very well-designed equipment and functions as it claims. The only addition that could make it better is some more attachments and wheels to roll it while storing. It isn’t as small as anticipated by the user.

A user named Paul Franken used Total Gym 1400 and reviewed it to be good for the price it is quoted for. The only issue the user faced is the need to have a bit wider and longer bench and some better handling mechanism for easy grabbing during the workout. Also the cushion support for the head on the bench is not up to the mark. But overall it is a great value for money and even ships pretty fast. One user, Maurice Flemming who purchased Total Gym 1400 reveals that it takes time to set up but is great for workout at home. Another user, Rodney Anderson who also used Total Gym 1400 says it was received on time in proper packaging and is easy to setup and take down when not in use. The user would have preferred thick hard handles over the flexible cloth style ones on it. Dennis Kirk, another user who used Total Gym 1400 feels it is not good for a large person and the seat is slippery which can make workout difficult. One user Loius Alexander also says it’s a good equipment but found it difficult to fold up and store. If left set up it’s good budget equipment.
