Compare Review: Bye Bye Foundation vs CC Cream

Bye Bye Foundation Review

Exorbitantly priced – Natalie who bought Bye Bye Foundation complained in her review that though it has certain advantages, she found it to be astronomically priced. She was quite happy with the coverage it offered her and it lasted through the day as well. But she found it very difficult to match a shade that was suited for her skin tone. She was also annoyed that she was put through an auto ship program, which meant she had to pay the heavy price for the product several times over. According to her, it’s a decent product but probably not worth the price.

Shipping scam – Katrin who reviewed Bye Bye Foundation exposed in her review that she was livid when she realized that she had fallen for an auto ship scam when she ordered the product. She had to pay for three months supply of the cream, which didn’t give her results she was looking for. She feels that the coverage was ashy and light, which makes her want to go back to her previous choice of CC illuminations cream since it is also reasonably priced.

Doesn’t live up to expectations – Ellen who used Bye Bye Foundation revealed in her review that the cream doesn’t deliver on its promise of giving smooth and even coverage. Firstly, since it is thick you have to pull your skin back to apply it. The cream also has a fragrance, which can be annoying. Moreover the coverage made her skin look ashen, and didn’t even last for full 8 hours, as it claimed to.

CC Cream Reviews

Tedious to use, not great results – Meckie who used CC Cream complained in her review that she tried to use the serum with her fingers, brush, sponge, with and without primer; in practically every possible way, but the results remained the same. It was tricky to blend and looked cakey on her face. It was also quite heavy, which she wasn’t expecting. Unfortunately, instead of hiding blemishes on her face, like a scar she has, it made them more visible. There were some positives like the fact that it reduced redness and made her skin tone even, but that just wasn’t enough and she simply returned the product.

Doesn’t work well – Barbara who reviewed CC Cream revealed in her review that she was happy when she got this serum because she found one in a shade that suited her well. She was also chuffed about the matt finish. But that was all that was positive about it. To begin with, she was disappointed that it’s not mentioned anywhere that the serum gives out a smell. It was difficult to blend and only accentuated the flakiness on her dry skin. Worst of all, in spite of SPF 50+ it didn’t offer her any skin protection. She now believes that she has only wasted her money.

Disappointing product – Susan who bought CC Cream exposed in her review that the serum doesn’t work at all and you don’t get any coverage without your skin looking cakey. She also found the shade range limited and her skin started looking greasy in a few hours. She was left disappointed in the product and has gone back to using her modestly priced concealer, which does the job just fine.

  1. I LOVE the CC cream! It glides onto my skin, and covers my redness without creeping into my wrinkles. It is not at all cakey. I am surprised to see people say this.

I used CC cream, thought I’d like BBF better. It did not cover as well and cost way too much. I got suckered into the autoship. I have cancelled it and will buy CC cream at Ulta/

  3. I have used both the regular and luminous Your Skin But Better – CC cream. I like a very light coverage to even out skin color. Used the regular during the summer but like the luminosity of the newer formula, especially in colder weather. I wore the cream alone a few times but it is thicker than I like.

I now use every day with only a very small amount to tint my moisturizer. Apply with finger tips then finish off with blender sponge. This is my go to formula for everyday. It provides the coverage I want without looking made up or cake face. The luminous coverage looks a little shiny at first but that quickly goes away or use can use a light powder.

I really love this …the light color in the winter is perfect for me. I also use the eye formula with my own eye cream which works great as a concealer and highlighter.

  4. These 2 products ARE made from the same company, It Cosmetics… The only difference is that as of now, the Bye Bye Foundation is ONLY available/distributed through Guthy-Renker (TV infomercial). Where as the CC Cream is available in stores.

  5. I am very confused with these creams, At the Ulta store they do not explain you about it. I ask if these foundation was the same offered on TV ( IT) and the sales lady said yes. These 2 companies needs to be honest.
I bought some of these products and I do not feel good about what I find out. When I called the 800 # the sales person said that it was not the same company, she diid mentioned Guy. ??? what a mess…. for customers.
