Compare Review: Bye Bye Foundation vs Bareminerals vs Dermablend

Bye Bye Foundation REVIEW

One user Alley says that she bought the foundation for $65 plus tax directly from It Cosmetics. The infomercial didn’t specify paying for auto-ship every 3 months. Bye Bye Foundation was ashy and provided only light coverage. It covered pores better it wasn’t a smooth finish and did not keep her skin well-hydrated through the day though it was pretty good by over eight hours. Alley is unimpressed with Bye Bye Foundation and will use Illuminations CC + Creme that covers better, is dewier and cheaper. For the 55-year-old’s dry skin she needed a dewy foundation, which Bye Bye couldn’t provide.

Another reviewer Jesse writes that the foundation left her skin looking ashen. Even though she wants to try a darker shade, the auto-ship program proves to be expensive over time. Bye Bye is comparatively more expensive and it’s doubtful that the 3D Skin Flex technology would make a difference. The reviewer does like the coverage since one pump is enough and tow pumps give complete coverage. It does benefit the skin a bit but it doesn’t last on the skin full 8 hours. The thick foundation pulls at the skin while applying. Jesse adds that it reduces redness and pores and is quite light. For more Bye Bye Foundation review, visit this page.

Bareminerals SPF15 Foundation REVIEW

A reviewer of Bareminerals SPF15 Foundation says that the foundation feels extremely lightweight and natural even compared to other setting powders. The foundation blends easily and covers the redness on acne-prone skin. The face doesn’t appear cakey on applying the foundation but it didn’t cover their acne scarring too well. Another reviewer Alexis says that they have oily skin that’s not conducive for liquid foundation but Bare Minerals has been working wonders for three years. However, there is a complaint that it wears off through the day so it needs makeup touchup. One customer April says in her review that the foundation makes their skin appear older looking because the lines around their eyes are enhanced by it. They also find the coverage unimpressive though the color and feel are great and the foundation doesn’t cause any skin reaction or breakouts even on sensitive skin.

Dermablend SPF30 Foundation REVIEW

A user of Dermablend SPF30 Foundation, Amy says in her review that it has great coverage but is visible and makes the skin look very dry. Light colors work well and are amazing when mixed with darker colors. The foundation stays on through the day. Another user Rebecca in her review calls it a good product for effective all over coverage. However, it covers as a foundation but when it comes to hiding scars, acne scars or dark circles, it is not very efficient. It provides minimal coverage and does not cover flaws or last all day. You need to reapply several times and is very thick, giving the feel of having too much make-up on.

One reviewer Eva states that they used it only to cover flaws and dark spots only and it felt a little dry and difficult to blend off. However, it is waterproof and can be worn throughout the day. Another customer, Pam says in their review that they needed to cover tattoos on the hands. However, they ended up ordering a very light color but found that the foundation is good only to cover minor scars and blemishes and not tattoos. Even though it is extremely waterproof it didn’t fully cover the tattoos.

Does SPF-50 mean higher protection?

A higher SPF or Sun Protection Factor in sunscreens offers more protection from the harmful UV radiation that can cause skin cancers, premature skin aging, and eye damage. UV radiation reaches the earth as UVB and UVA rays. UVB radiation is majorly responsible for skin cancers and SPF is the amount of UVB protection a sunscreen provides. For instance, SPF 15 blocks 93% of UVB radiation while SPF 30 blocks almost 97%. Higher SPF also makes for higher safety margin because users do not apply ample sunscreen getting only approximately 1/3 of the actual value.

However, along with the advantages higher SPFs can prove detrimental. Most SPFs only measure UVB protection ignoring UVA that accelerates skin aging and may even initiate skin cancers. Even if the appliers won’t suffer sunburns caused by UVB, the absence of UVA-screening ingredients can result in skin-damaging radiation.

Sunscreens with high SPFs prevent sunburn and in turn create a false sense of security, making users to stay out in the harsh sun longer also avoiding photoprotective methods such as going under shade or wearing sun-protective clothing. .
UVB and UVA protection is extremely important and the ideal value of SPFs is 30 to 50, no more, no less. The sunscreen should include other UVA-blocking ingredients such as titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, avobenzone, oxybenzone, and ecamsule. Look out for multi-spectrum, broad-spectrum, or UVA/UVB Protection labels.

I’m sorry to hear that! I was reading the fine print (their Terms & Conditions), because I have run into this same scam from other TV “Only $19.95 to try”… yeah, right! It is very misleading and I think it is false advertising. I won’t buy it because I don’t need to get the same “kit” month after month (until I cancel.. which is also a giant hassle). Such a shame.

WOW – YOU SAID BYE BYE FOUNDATION IS $39 AND I REALLY WANT TO TRY IT, BUT YOU ARE SOOOO WRONG – IT’S $65! I AM QUOTING THE PRICE FOR JUST A TUBE OF THE BYE BYE FOUNDATION; NOT THE 5 PIECE KIT. IF YOU BUY IT AS PER THEIR TV OFFER, IT’S $39.95, BUT THAT’S JUST THEE FIRST PAYMENT – WHAT THEY CHARGE YOU IS THAT AMOUNT X3!!!! I’M ON A FIXED INCOME AND I WANT TO TRY IT SO BADLY, BUT I CAN’T AFFORD $65, WHAT IF I DON’T EVEN LIKE THE PRODUCT?
    THANKS FOR LISTENING!
